The six month program offers structure, stability and an effective support system to those moving up from medical detox. It focuses on reintegration and personal growth and residents are given the resources they need to remain sober for the long term. By leveraging this outside support with the intensive programming offered by New Life House staff, clients are encouraged to maintain meaningful employment while eventually moving into a stable, sober living environment. The project offers day care four days per week, office space for rent and accommodates community groups such as the “Treasure Kids” of Whitburn Pentecostal Church and the West Lothian 50+ Network Choir. The Answer Project in Whitburn, West Lothian, offers day care facilities for adults with physical or mental infirmities. Our mission is to provide day care services in a supportive environment and respite for carers.

Strength In Community and Connection

After extensive debate, the framers of the Constitution agreed to create the House with representation based on population and the Senate with equal representation. This agreement was part of what is referred to as The Great Compromise. New Life House is a residential treatment facility providing an intensive substance abuse program for adult males. The program enables residents to help themselves maintain sobriety while renewing their careers and responsibilities to their families and to society. MHSA provides community-based shelter, nutrition and recovery programs throughout Greater Boston to individuals and families in need, along with life skills for self-sufficiency to end homelessness, hunger and addiction. This facility also uses counseling as part of its substance use disorder treatment, both helping to understand the cause of addiction and creating tools to aid with recovery. MHSA

The total number of committee slots allotted to each party is approximately the same as the ratio between majority party and minority party members in the full chamber. The majority party members and the minority party members meet in separate caucuses to select their leader. Third parties rarely have had enough members to elect their own leadership, and independents will generally join one of the larger party organizations to receive committee assignments.

With the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers, we engage the local community to provide our services through volunteering, fundraising, events and more. Middlesex Human Service Agency Inc is a private non-profit organization offering inpatient treatment in Boston, MA that caters to adults and young adults seeking help for substance use disorders. This center offers programs for substance use treatment including anger management, brief intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention. House leadership includes the speaker, majority and minority leaders, assistant leaders, whips and a party caucus or conference. The speaker acts as leader of the House and combines several institutional and administrative roles. Majority and minority leaders represent their respective parties on the House floor.

Also referred to as a congressman or congresswoman, each representative is elected to a two-year term serving the people of a specific congressional district. Among other duties, representatives introduce bills and resolutions, offer amendments and serve on committees. The number of representatives with full voting rights is 435, a number set by Public Law 62-5 on August 8, 1911, and in effect since 1913. The number of representatives per state is proportionate to population.

New Life House has been helping residents reestablish a sober lifestyle for over 40 years, by providing intensive substance use disorder treatment services up to 28 adult men for up to six months. Our program helps our clients to emphasize dignity, respect and empowerment. We believe in teaching individuals the skills and problem solving abilities needed for self-sufficiency. We are a (6) six month program, with a variety of groups to help our clients cope with their substance abuse issues.

If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Finally, a conference committee made of House and Senate members works out any differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. The resulting bill returns to the House and Senate for final approval.

Middlesex Human Service Agency Inc offers recovery support services dedicated to helping patients get back on their feet and continue their recovery. Brookford House is located in Dorchester and provides a safe supportive recovery environment for parents in early recovery who also need help to secure permanent affordable housing. This brings together all the expertise and services MHSA offers in both our recovery and shelter programs. Serving up to 18 families in two co-located buildings creates a strong supportive recovery environment for parents while keeping families together.

Whips assist leadership in managing their party’s legislative program on the House floor. A party caucus or conference is the name given to a meeting of or organization of all party members in the House. During these meetings, party members discuss matters of concern. Accreditation(s) indicate the organization’s national, state, or industry recognition for the treatment of substance use disorders and or mental health conditions. Whether working on Capitol Hill or in his / her New Life House Review congressional district, a representative’s schedule is extremely busy.

New Life House is a (6) six month Halfway House for males with substance abuse issues, we require the client contact the program through a case worker from a holding facility, or a correctional facility. We have 24 beds, 6 of which are exclusively for clients coming from correctional institutions. We require that the individual have a psych-social and recent PPD upon his arrival for an interview. No individuals that are taking strong psych meds, methadone, bupenorphine, and/or suboxone.

With steady clinical oversight and an experienced team of counselors, New Life House provides intensive substance abuse treatment services to 28 adult men for up to six months. With several sites in the Greater Boston area, our highly trained staff provide clinical oversight and specialized services to help our patients achieve and sustain their sobriety. Over the course of up to six months, patients are given the individualized clinical support needed to find employment, reestablish family and community connections, and pursue healthy and life-long recovery goals. Upon the successful completion of the program, patients transition into stable, sober living environments where they can continue to thrive as productive members in our communities.
